Ryan Borne is a Tāmaki Makaurau DJ whose sets run from house and tech house into techno and hard house, stitched together with live mashups and his own edits. A SIR regular and a favourite of The Naked World, he took the sound to Melbourne twice in 2026 for BARBA. He is also one half of Ardon & Ryan, a live duo with Ardon England.

Ryan Borne grew up on his dad’s Ministry of Sound CDs, made music and played when he was younger, and came back to the decks in 2020. He is now part of the furniture of Auckland’s queer club scene: a regular at the techno night SIR, a Misbehaviour alumnus, and a Naked World favourite who closed the Undie Party Sheer Ball and has played Naked In The Trees festival two years running, including the 2026 opening night. In 2026 he played his first overseas gigs for BARBA in Melbourne: MISA, the VIC Pride after-party, then the BARBA Grand Final at Brown Alley.

His sets are built on pace and surprise. House and tech house tip into techno, hard house and acid, held together by live mashups and edits of his own. That might be a Kylie edit for a Melbourne crowd, or the Dom Dolla x White Lotus mashup that made a room sing back to him at his first Misbehaviour. The rule is simple: #LetsGetSilly.

He is also one half of Ardon & Ryan, a hybrid DJ and live-vocal duo with Māori queer pop artist Ardon England. They debuted at the sold-out C#NT, the club night Ryan co-founded and co-organises, in September 2026 and topped the bill at Pride After Dark in Wānaka a week later.
